continued growth and strengthen their financial management capacity, we are
seeking a talented and experienced professional for the position of Finance
Officer. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the organization’s day-to-day financial operations,
including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll
processing, and reconciliation of financial data. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, management accounts,
budgets, and financial forecasts to provide insights into financial performance
and support strategic decision-making. Lead cash flow planning and management to ensure adequate liquidity for
operational needs, capital projects, and risk mitigation. Manage relationships with banking partners, negotiate favorable terms,
and oversee banking operations to optimize financial resources. Ensure full compliance with tax laws, statutory regulations, and
internal policies, including timely filing of returns and reports required by
regulatory authorities. Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring that all
audit requirements are met and audit findings are addressed promptly. Develop, implement, and monitor robust financial policies, systems, and
internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance operational
efficiency. Provide financial analysis and modeling to support business cases,
investment decisions, project evaluations, and strategic planning initiatives. Monitor and analyze financial risks, industry trends, and economic
factors relevant to the mining sector to provide proactive financial advice to
senior management. Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies aligned
with the organization’s growth objectives and sustainability commitments. Skills and qualifications Qualifications & Experience: ·
Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field ·
Professional certification
(ACCA, CPA) is preferred ·
Minimum 5 years of relevant
experience, preferably in the mining or extractive industries ·
Strong knowledge of
financial management principles and accounting standards ·
Excellent analytical,
organizational, and communication skills ·
Proficiency in accounting
